SAN PEDRO DEL PINATAR
Protected natural beach with dunes and salt lakes. It is located in the regional park Parque Regional de las Salinas y Arenas de San Pedro del Pinatar. Over here you can see how the Mediterranean Sea and the Mar Menor (Minor Sea) converge. Here it is performed the ancient art of fishing known as 'encañizadas' -consisting in creating sort of a maze with canes and nets, so that fishes get trapped- because of the area fish abundance.

This is the first one of the beaches that can be found in La Llana, as well as the only place where some shaded areas can be found, in the shelter of a group of palm trees.
