San Javier: the hercUlean way (english guided tour)

SAN JAVIER "The V�a Herculea"Guided tour starts at the San Javier Museum, where we can learn about the town's history from the early days as well as knowing the life of illustrious people born in the municipality. The different objects exhibited there, such as an airplane donated by the San Javier Air Base, will take us on a journey through the past. The Nativity Scene (Bel�n), one of the main tourist attractions in San Javier as well as a tradition with deep roots in the whole Region, is featured at the museum. After leaving the museum we will have a walk to the parish church of Saint Francis Xavier, one of the first churches built in the Mar Menor area. The temple houses several works of art by renowned artists, like the sculptor S�nchez Lozano or the painter Mu�oz Barber�n. Strolling on we arrive at the Almansa Park, located on the former Tom�s Maestre estate. Nowadays this park is a cultural landmark in the municipality, where important festivals such as the International Jazz Festival and the Interantional Festival of Theatre, Music and Dance are held.� And last but not least we will access the heart of the Town Hall, the Plenary Hall, from where the members of the local government administer San Javier.

Taste our full range of wines with this wine experience designed for those who want a more in-depth immersion into the wine�s world. The visit begins with a welcoming glass of wine, to continue with an exhaustive visit to our winery and vineyards, for a better understanding of the special care that our wines receive, and the whole wine�s making process from the ground to the table, after which we will make a �Aromas� Tasting�, to get into the wonderful world of the deep aromas of the wine. After finishing the tour, we will give way to an exclusive tasting of our entire range of wines paired with a selected aperitif. In order to fully complete the experience and ensure the enduring of Madrid Romero�s essence, a special gift will be given to each one of the visitors.

TOUR: 5 km crossing along La Manga from the Mar Menor to Tom�s Maestre Port, Estacio Channel and then sailing off to the Mediterranean Sea through the Drawbridge. We will approach GROSA ISLAND. The visit on Sunday April 7 begins at 9.30 alongside Bodegas Casta�o on the northern edge of Yecla (click for map), from where participants will make their way in their own vehicles to the start of the walk. The walk itself lasts around 3 hours.All those taking part are advised to bring sturdy footwear, drinking water or juice and a snack.
