Torre Pacheco
El Cabezo Gordo originated in the Triassic, a division of the geological time scale, approximately 250 million years ago. At this time, the Earth underwent a process of transformation in which important geographical features were formed. During the Alpine orogeny, the African and Eurasian tectonic plates collided, pushing the accumulated marine sediments, and thus forming mountain ranges, mountains and elevations such as El Cabezo Gordo. In this period, all the world was united forming the supercontinent "Pangaea", which was divided at the beginning of the Jurassic. In the Triassic also appeared the first mammals that evolved from the mammalian reptiles and in the advanced Triassic appeared the first dinosaurs. These data show us the age of this mountain, the same as the Sierra Nevada in Granada. Located in the middle of the coastal depression, this mountain is 312 metres above sea level and 3 km long. It is the only elevation in the municipality of Torre Pacheco and is part of the Betic Mountain Range. It is not of volcanic origin like other elevations of Mar Menor like its islands and El Carmolí. Its nature is limestone and marble. It dominates the Campo de Cartagena from the north and the Mar Menor is 6 kilometres away. El Cabezo Gordo is a protected landscape in the following categories: • In 1998, with the Natural Resources Management Plan for the Open Spaces and islands of the Mar Menor and Cabezo Gordo, it was declared a Protected Landscape (Paisaje Protegido) due to its great biotic, landscape, cultural and paleontological interest. • It is part of the Natura 2000 Network with the category of SCI (Site of Community Importance), especially because it is the habitat of five species of bats. • It is also catalogued as an SGI (Site of Geological Interest), formed by sedimentary rocks such as: limestone and dolomites and metamorphic rocks such as marble. • It is a Wildlife Protection Area. • It is part of the Integrated Management Plan for the protected areas of the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean coastal strip of the Region of Murcia 2019, declared a Special Areas of Conservation (SAC).

Torre Pacheco
These streets are united and are a place to walk for the citizens and witness the parades of our festivals, as well as historical, social and religious events of the town. In the Calle Mayor, the magnificent facades from the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century are outstanding. These manor houses originally decorated with exposed brick (neonasrid style, typical of the Campo de Cartagena) are considered to be of historical and artistic interest. Worth mentioning is the house where Luis Manzanares lived (the house belonged to his father Felicito M.), in the Modernist style (grille). This illustrious local man was assistant professor to the poet Antonio Machado. In this street was the Casa de la Tercia, one of the three houses that Torre Pacheco had, a place where the tithes collected by the church were stored. Today, these two main streets form a large pedestrian area where shops, bars, restaurants, cafes, banks and other businesses are concentrated.

Nuestra casa adosada, de elegante diseño y en primera línea de las Terrazas, tiene extraordinarias vistas y está frente al quinceavo hoyo del campo de golf. Está situada en un área muy tranquila del complejo, ideal para los que juegan al golf o para familias con niños, sólo a 100 metros de la zona de juego infantil y justo a seis minutos a pie de la más cercana de las 22 piscinas del complejo. Siete minutos más y ya está usted en el centro del pueblo, en donde puede comer o tomar una copa en uno de los numerosos bares y restaurantes. La propiedad, con aire acondicionado, tiene dos dormitorios y dos cuartos de baño. Ambos dormitorios tienen dos camas individuales que se pueden acoplar juntas para obtener, si lo prefiere, una cama doble extra. Hay calefacción central en toda la vivienda, para las frescas noches de invierno. Hay banda ancha inalámbrica gratis en toda la casa y un teléfono para recibir llamadas, también se pueden hacer llamadas gratuitas a otras viviendas en el complejo. En la planta baja están uno de los dormitorios y un cuarto de baño completo con ducha, lavabo, bidet e inodoro. En la zona del salón hay un sofá de piel en forma de L, televisión satélite, un aparato de video/DVD, un lector de CD y conexión para iPod, con altavoces y cargador. La zona del comedor, con mesa y sillas de roble, tiene acceso al patio, en donde también está la barbacoa. Desde aquí hay magníficas vistas al campo de golf. Se puede cenar al aire libre o sencillamente relajarse a la sombra con un buen libro y tumbado en la hamaca. La cocina incluye horno, quemadores, extractor de humo, frigorífico-congelador, microondas, hervidor de agua, cafetera, lavavajillas y lavadora. El dormitorio principal está arriba, con puertas que dan a la segunda terraza y sus fantásticas vistas al campo de golf, las palmeras y al lago. En la terraza hay una mesa con sombrilla, cuatro sillas y cuatro tumbonas. El cuarto de baño principal tiene baño con ducha, lavabo, tocador, inodoro y bidet. Por favor, recuerden que no está permitido fumar ni tener animales en la vivienda.
