STAGE 16. Region boundary - Águilas (6.4 km)
Leaving behind the province of Almeria and the area of San Juan de los Terrenos, and passing through the municipality of Pulpí, we begin the first stage of EuroVelo 8 in the Region of Murcia, one of the shortest on the circuit.
And what better to begin this spectacular cycle tourism route than by crossing a protected landscape such as Cuatro Calas in the first few kilometres on the road.
Entering the town of Calarreona we'll enjoy the protection of bike lanes to connect with a stretch of dirt road on the Playa de la Cañada del Negro. From here, we'll cross the urban setting of Águilas until reaching the Tourist Office. This is one of the most iconic cycling and triathlon municipalities at the national level.
